Diamond encrusted chip fork up for grabs

Luxury dining brand FooFitch has added some bling to the humble wooden chip fork by creating a sterling silver version finished with a diamond solitaire. 

The lavish £495 chip fork is being marketed as great gift for the 87% of the population that love chips.

Its creator Digi Foo-Kune explains the inspiration for the fork: “Having grown up in the deepest, darkest, ‘fish & chip’ territory of 1970’s Yorkshire I am a fanatical chip lover! There’s a lot of snobbery attached to food, which I think sadly misses the point. Fish and chips are our national dish. With 300 million portions being served in the UK each year this chip fork proudly celebrates that fact.”

To mark Chip Week, FooFitch in collaboration with the Potato Council, has created a one-off diamond encrusted version, featuring a heart of 16 pavé set diamonds. It will be given away to one lucky chip shop customer via a special scratch card promotion taking place in over 400 participating chip shops around the country.
