Pastry company Jus-Rol Professional is encouraging fish and chip shops to get involved with British Pie Week by giving away five cases of its pastry lids, perfect for topping off the most popular pie fillings.
British Pie Week, which runs from 5th-11th March, is a great opportunity for friers to demonstrate their skills and recipe innovation whilst profiting from one of Britain’s most loved pastry dishes.
Jus-Rol’s pastry lids are available in puff and shortcrust pre-cut ovals and rounds and are said to reduce costly wastage, defrost quickly and guarantee consistency every time. With minimum effort and preparation times, getting involved with British Pie Week is as easy as pie!
To be in with a chance of winning one of five cases, simply send your name, address and your preferred pastry format (puff or shortcrust) to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it by 20th February 2012.
John McKears, foodservice sales manager at Jus-Rol, says: “British Pie Week is a key business opportunity in the food and drink calendar, and a chance for friers to celebrate and profit from the enduring appeal of pies. British cuisine and pies have never been more fashionable and offer real sales potential for the industry. We hope this year even more caterers will get involved, which why we are giving them a helping hand with our Pastry Shapes giveaway.”
