Many well known personalities in the Fish & Chip business turned up to toast the opening of a new Our Plaice shop in Kidderminster last month as a show of support for former Fish & Chip shop of the Year winners Gregg and Caroline Howard.
Says Caroline: "Phil Blakeman drove down from Blakeman's sausages to show his support as did many friends and family. Also there to share the evening were Huw and Sarah Jones from Finnegans in Wales, Steve Hill from Steve Hill Services and Haydyn Canter of Preston and Thomas, who supplied the new frying range. And the Captain of our local football team Kidderminster Harriers, had a go frying Fish and Chips, which was great for the local papers!"
Guest enjoyed goujons of various fish including lemon sole, monk fish and cod were served with homemade tartar sauce or mushy peas. "Oh, and there was a lot of wine that went out too," added Caroline, "the night went so well that some people had to be helped home!"
