New CEO for Pukka plus a premium pie range



Pukka Pies
has appointed a new CEO, Deborah Ewan, and announced a number of new product launches including its first into the premium pie sector.


Having previously worked for 2 Sisters Food Group and Greencore, Deborah has worked for leading food and non-food manufacturers for over 25 years and will be tasked with the job of continuing to implement the family owned brand’s ambitious three-year growth strategy.
 
She comments: “Hot on the heels of a successful phase one campaign, this incredible heritage brand continues to punch well above its weight. I’m looking forward to working closely with our talented team as we focus on Pukka Pies’ ambitious growth plans.”

The announcement coincides with the launch of the company’s Posher Pukka range into retail later this month which comprises two varieties - Chicken, Leek and Pancetta and Steak & Porter Ale.

The pie maker is also introducing its first grocery non-meat pie - Veggie Tikka Masala with Chickpea & Spinach - as well as a Family Pie offering including All Steak, Chicken & Mushroom, Chicken & Gravy and Minced Beef & Onion.

There are no plans as yet to introduce the new pies into the fish and chip shop sector.
